Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, confirmed today, Friday (November 24, 2023), that the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs today represents “a home for serving Iraq.”
Al-Sudani said in a tweet on the (X) platform, “We all celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the launch of diplomatic work that expresses Iraq’s positions in international forums.”
He added, "Today, our Foreign Ministry represents a home for serving Iraq and its interests, and an indispensable arena for ambitious work and cooperation with all brotherly and friendly nations, in accordance with the approach of productive openness and positive balance in relations."
Al-Sudani continued, "We commend the hands of those working in Iraqi diplomacy, and we magnify in them their burden of honesty and responsibility, and their dedication to duty."
