Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad announced today, Saturday (January 6, 2024), directing the ministry’s companies to prepare the names of employees eligible for plots of land, to work with local governments to prepare the lands.
Al-Sawad said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "Employees in the oil sector work day and night to sustain and develop the nation's economy. The oil sector has witnessed great development, especially in the current year, with the efforts of all employees," indicating that "the most recent achievement of the ministry was the opening of the fourth refining unit in the refineries." The South, in addition to launching many projects, and therefore we must work quickly to prepare suitable lands for our employees.”
Al-Sawad confirmed, "Work is underway to distribute the forty thousand plots of land for which the necessary approvals have been obtained for distribution to oil sector employees in Basra. The ministry's companies were directed to complete this file during a meeting we held with the general directors of our ministry on our last visit to the province."
