    Within the new legislative term, the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee seeks to discuss the mechanism for improving the quality of Internet services available to citizens, while discussing the possibility of reducing its prices with the relevant authorities.
    Committee member Karwan Ali Yaruwis said, in an interview with Al-Sabah, followed by Al-Eqtisad News, that the committee is following up on the reality of the services provided by the Ministry of Communications and the companies marketing to citizens and the suitability of their tariffs and the quality of service, as joint coordination will take place with the Ministry of Communications to discuss this.
     He stated that Internet services are among the most prominent issues that the committee is following up and working to improve in cooperation with specialists in the Ministry of Communications, pointing out the effort to reduce service prices and improve their quality within the special program of the Parliamentary Committee, while applying the oversight aspect to follow up on the work of Internet companies and the quality of services they provide to citizens, as There is a serious follow-up in this regard after the start of the new legislative term of the House of Representatives.  
    In interviews they gave to Al-Sabah, citizens in various areas of Baghdad, on the Karkh and Rusafa sides, complained about the weak Internet service provided to them by tower owners, describing its services as fluctuating and not commensurate with the value of the monthly subscription paid, which amounts to a minimum of 35 thousand dinars and up to 70 thousand dinars. In exchange for very weak internet service.
