Reassurance to employees: “Salaries are not affected by delays in budget schedules.”

{Economic: Al-Furat News} An economic expert confirmed that employee salaries were not affected by the government’s delay in sending the financial budget schedules for the year 2024 to the House of Representatives.
Salah Nouri told Al-Furat News Agency, “The delay in sending the 2024 budget schedules does not affect employees’ salaries, nor does it affect the financing of investment projects and thus their completion according to the time frames.”
It is noteworthy that more than a third of the current year has passed, and the House of Representatives is awaiting the financial budget schedules for the year 2024, which are still oscillating between the Ministry of Finance and the Council of Ministers.
Specialists attribute this delay in approving the budget to the financial failure to complete operational expenditure schedules, and that this matter will be reflected in investment projects.
On April 27, the head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, said, “It is hoped that the 2024 budget schedules will arrive next week (the week before last).”
