    Committee discussed the monitoring of the implementation of the Japanese loan projects in its twenty-fourth, headed by the President of the board of advisers of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Thamer Abbas Ghadban with the Japanese Embassy and the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation JICA)) joint efforts to achieve economic development and support the projects funded by the facilitator of the Japanese loan in Iraq. 

    The presence of UNDP representatives of the United Nations UNDP)) independent evaluator of projects alongside representatives from the ministries of planning and finance, oil, electricity, transportation, water resources, construction, housing, industry and minerals, municipalities and public works, health and communication, along with representatives of the Kurdistan region and a number of experts and consultants in the body. 

    At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Thamer Abbas Ghadban chairman welcomed the attendees and praised the support of the Japanese government and its cooperation with the Iraqi government in its fight against terrorism, and its efforts to achieve economic development in Iraq through a partnership agreement signed between the two countries in this field. 

    Chairman of the Authority also praised the efforts made ​​in the completion of a number of Japanese-funded loan facilitator of projects more than (4.4) billion dollars under the supervision of the advisers to the prime minister. 

    During the meeting, review the progress made ​​by the working-funded projects amounting to (20) project to support the infrastructure in Iraq, which include electricity, water, oil, ports, sanitation and irrigation. 

    They also discussed a number of future projects nominated for funding across the country and in various economic sectors, along with a discussion of the most important obstacles facing the implementation process and the development of appropriate solutions.
