    Oil Ministry spokesman Asim Jihad said that the visit comes within the framework of bilateral communication on developments in the oil market, in addition to enhancing and expanding the horizons of cooperation in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC Plus.



    Jihad pointed out that Al-Ghais's visit schedule includes meeting with the Minister of Oil and a number of officials.

    Earlier, OPEC announced that Iraq had submitted a plan to compensate for its surplus production during the first half of this year, as the compensation plan will start from August of this year until the end of this year, compensating for 1.4 million barrels of surplus oil produced by Iraq.
