ISIS takes 250 police personnel to Syria, execute slacking members

Anbar, Nineveh- (IraqiNews.com) Islamic State militants have kidnapped 250 Iraqi police personnel and took them to Syria, also executing slacking-up fighters in the city of Anbar, according to sources.
ISIS kidnapped 250 police agents from the towns of Annah, Qaem and Rawa and transported them to Syria in vehicles run by the group, according to Nazem al-Jugheifi, intelligence commander at al-Hashed al-Shaabi popular militias in Anbar.
“The group is accusing the agents, who had announced ‘repentance’, of tipping security forces off on the locations of its militants inside those towns where coalition and Iraqi air forces bombed and killed many ISIS elements,” Jugheifi said.
As many other Iraqi cities, ISIS took over Annah, Rawa and Qaem in 2014. Iraqi government and popular troops are still in preparations to liberate those regions from the group.
In Nineveh, reports are renewed about ISIS’s executions of delinquent combatants. A local source told Alsumaria News that the group’s so-called “Mujahedin Shura Council (advisory council)” has, again, ordered to execute fighters who flee the battlefield.
“The group is practically executing elements who are wounded during encounters with joint Iraqi forces,” the source said on condition of anonymity.
