The Council of Ministers decided to freeze all movable and immovable property and economic resources belonging to more than 90 Iraqis from the former regime in implementation of an international resolution on a consolidated list issued by the UN Security Council sanctions committee.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in its official columns that "the decision comes in accordance with the provisions of Articles 15 and 16 of AML / CFT No. 39 for the year 2015 and also in accordance with the provisions of Article 9/1 of the Freeze of Terrorist Funds No. 5 of 2016".
She explained that the consolidated list includes the names of 92 Iraqis starting with Ayman Sabaawi Ibrahim al-Hassan al-Tikriti, the son of Saddam's brother Sabawi and ends with Mohammad Hamza al-Zubaidi, former prime minister and leader of the Baath Party.
The General Secretariat confirmed in accordance with the official directive on the implementation of the resolution immediately and circulated to all ministries, departments and entities not associated with the Ministry and provincial and provincial councils and financial and non-financial institutions and departments and all relevant parties
The decision was immediately published in the Iraqi fact sheet and the official websites of the anti-money laundering and terrorist financing offices, according to the provisions of Article 18 of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Law No. 39 of 2015 and Article 9/6 of the Terrorist Assets Freeze No. 5 of 2016.
The list included the names of the names of the former international sanctions committee, including Sajida Khairallah, the wife of former President Saddam Hussein, his sons and daughters, his brothers and sons, and former deputy regime chief Azza al-Duri. Taha Yassin Ramadan, Tariq Aziz, Muhammad Yunus al-Ahmad, Huda Saleh Mahdi Ammash, Al-Razzaq, Ali Hassan al-Majid, Barzan, Watban, Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hasan, Abd al-Baqi al-Saadoun, a number of ministers and leaders of the dissolved Baath party. Most of the people included in the decision are nil, imprisoned and run away from Iraq
