    The Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council is to meet with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who arrived yesterday at the head of a high-level delegation of more than 10 ministers and officials.
    King Salman welcomed the Iraqi delegation during his meeting at the Al-Auja Palace on Friday night, where he hosted a dinner, while Abadi expressed his happiness with the meeting. 
    The Royal Saudi Court will witness the work of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council under the chairmanship of Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Minister of Trade and Investment from the Saudi side, and the Iraqi side Salman Al Jumaili, Minister of Planning and Acting Minister of Commerce. Agreements will also be signed in various fields including political, .
    Abadi was accompanied by a number of ministers including Foreign Ministers Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, Defense Irfan Al-Hayali, Planning and Trade Salman Al-Jumaili, Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Minister of Industry Mohammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, Agriculture Minister Falah Hassan Zidan, Fareed Rawanduzi, National Security Adviser Faleh Al Fayad, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq, Chairman of the National Investment Authority Sami Raouf Al-Araji and Iraq's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Rushdie Al-Ani. 
    The decision of the Saudi Council of Ministers to establish the Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council was due to Riyadh's earnest desire to improve relations and enhance trade exchange opportunities and joint cooperation.
    A number of ministers from the Saudi and Iraqi sides will hold side meetings today to discuss the possibility of joint cooperation between Riyadh and Baghdad and provide services for the benefit of the two countries, especially that the Saudi-Iraqi relations will witness a major breakthrough after the announcement of the high-level council. 
    The visit of the Saudi Minister of Energy and Industry, Khaled Al-Falih, and the speech at the opening of the 44th session of the Baghdad International Fair, which was held in Baghdad yesterday, highlighted that the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq await a promising future, pointing out that the two countries combine many factors of economic integration and potential Both countries, such as human resources, strategic geographical location, energy and water resources, natural and agricultural mineral resources, outstanding industrial capabilities, high quality of their products and tourism potential. "
