[ltr]A delegation from the Iraqi parliament on Saturday visited the Saudi capital Riyadh to discuss means of developing relations between the two countries.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Iraqi parliamentary delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by MP Hassan Shuwaird and the membership of members of the Iraqi-Gulf Friendship Committees attended a seminar at the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute under the title" Saudi-Iraqi relations and their future prospects, "the statement said. The two sides discussed the history and roots of the relationship between the two brotherly countries. "[/ltr]
[ltr]"Iraq and the Iraqis will not allow their lands to be an arena for settling scores," Schuerd said, adding that "Iraq is now looking seriously and realistically to strengthen ties with its regional, Islamic, Arab and international environment and on all levels."[/ltr]
[ltr]The meeting called for "the friendship committee to support all diplomatic efforts to strengthen the relationship between the two countries."[/ltr]
