Chinese court sentences 36 people to death and death charges
A court in southern China on Saturday sentenced 36 people to jail for up to 25 years for crimes including murder, assault and opening of gambling clubs in violation of the law.
"The court sentenced Hwang Twang, head of the Hainan-based gang, to 25 years in jail for crimes committed by his gang in 2005, while other members of the gang were sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment," the official Xinhua news agency reported. And 23 years of conviction for a series of crimes. "
"Hwang Twang oversaw a range of illegal activities, including health centers and unlicensed gambling clubs, and imposed illegal influence on a number of areas and factories," the agency said.
"The gang, called Mon Helib, has 40 members and has always employed students and dropouts in its activities," she said. Finished
