The Central Bank of Iraq announced the launch of Tamkeen initiative to finance various activities.
"In order to support community and humanitarian projects, the Central Bank announces the launch of the Tamkeen initiative, which aims to support and fund various activities, humanitarian, environmental and cultural projects and youth talents to cover the largest number of projects and community activities and stimulate volunteerism," said Aseer Jabbar, Director of the Information Office of the Central Bank of Iraq.
"It was agreed to identify monthly contributions by banks and exchange companies and to form a joint board for the management of the fund consisting of the Central Bank and the shareholders of the Fund.
