A report by a Saudi newspaper revealed that America nominated current Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to lead the Iraqi government in the coming period, indicating that she chose Abadi among several candidates, most notably Nuri al-Maliki and Hadi al-Amiri.
The report said that Abbadi is acceptable to the US because of his welcome position of the survival of US forces in Iraq, contrary to other candidates agreed to be expelled from Iraq immediately after the elections and the formation of the government, "as well as" Amiri and Maliki are the subject of American opposition. "
