[ltr]The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it is inviting all foreign ambassadors to meet on Wednesday to discuss London's comments on the use of toxic substances in its territory, concerning the case of former spy Sergey Scrippal.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The main subject of the meeting will be the situation concerning Britain's statements about the use of toxic substances on its territory," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.[/ltr]
[ltr]During the meeting with senior officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the experts of the Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Section, it is scheduled to inform representatives of foreign countries of the Russian point of view, to answer possible questions and to ask questions on the Russian side.[/ltr]
[ltr]The spokeswoman confirmed that "unfortunately no one knows so far, despite inquiries to London, what material was used in Salisbury," noting that there are many opinions and assessments and assumptions of experts on this subject, which are transmitted by the media.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Putting assumptions on this subject distracts attention from the main issue of Britain's refusal to present any facts other than the accusations that are rudely directed," she said.[/ltr]

[ltr]Britain has accused Russia of poisoning former Russian intelligence officer and double agent Sergey Scrippal with his daughter Yulia in the British city of Salisbury on March 4. Britain spoke of the use of nerve gas developed under the Soviet program "Nuvichuk"[/ltr]
