Washington denies bombing military sites in Syria
US military sources denied Monday that US or coalition forces had launched an attack against a military base of Syrian government forces late Monday, CNN reported.
The official Syrian news agency (SANA) quoted a Syrian military source as saying that "some military positions in the villages of Hama and Aleppo were exposed at 10:30 pm to a new aggression with hostile missiles," without specifying who was responsible for the attack.
The agency linked the occurrence of "this aggression with the information that confirms the conclusion of agreements to remove terrorists from Yilda and Babila and Beit Samh and Yarmouk camp."
The United States, France and Britain launched military strikes on sites belonging to the Syrian government two weeks ago, after being accused of a chemical attack against civilians in the eastern Ghouta.
The Syrian government also accused Israel of bombing the military airbase "Thefor" near Homs on April 9.
