    Distribution Authority affiliated to the Ministry of Oil revealed, on Wednesday, that the capital of Baghdad consumed 7.7 million liters of gasoline per day, stressing that it had prepared a plan to develop filling stations in the capital and the adoption of modern technology in its dealings.
    The authority’s director, Mohammed Shubr, said in a statement reported by the official “Al-Sabah” newspaper and seen by him / the information: “The authority set ambitious plans aimed at developing the distribution sector,” noting that “it was initiated by developing government distribution outlets and bringing them to a level of sophistication.” It is comparable to what is applied in the countries of the region and according to the global contexts applied in this regard.
    He added, “The Authority’s maintenance department teams were started with the work of qualifying six distribution outlets in order to develop them,” adding that “the charter filling station will be the first to be opened from the eligible stations during the next two days.”
    He noted that "the volume of Baghdad's consumption of gasoline, which the authority is preparing to surround its capital, has reached daily seven million and 726 thousand liters, in addition to what is being supplied to some stations of improved gasoline at the commercial price."
    And Shubar stated that "the authority has succeeded during the past months in providing the white oil material to the citizens without any significant obstacles, as 91% of this material has been prepared for families registered on the basis of the fuel card, which numbered more than one million and 827 thousand", noting that he had been confused By extending the working hours to ten o'clock at night in order to reduce the momentum on the outlets by 50 liters per family.
