The resigning Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, said that the death rate of corona virus in Iraq is high.
Abdul-Mahdi said in his speech during the second meeting of the Higher Committee for Health and National Safety to combat Corona Virus, which was held today, Wednesday, "The death rate of corona in Iraq is high, and we may witness an increase in corona cases in the country, but the cure rates are higher."
"Corona's casualty numbers are reasonable and controlled so far, and we do not want to exaggerate negatively or overly optimistic about the status quo," he added.
He stressed, "We cannot hide the number of deaths and assure the people of our procedures, and we will not hide any facts," noting that "Iraq is a successful case in the face of Corona."
And Abdul-Mahdi noted that "there is a lot of cooperation from parliament to cover the need in the face of Corona."
