The MP for the coalition of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Riad al - Masoudi, that the issue of re - commissioning Adel Abdul Mahdi, or keep it until the holding of early elections, is rejected by the majority of the House of Representatives.
Al-Masoudi said, "There are some political blocs, which have gains and privileges in the current government, from ministerial portfolios and other positions, that want to keep Adel Abdul-Mahdi, so that they can maintain these gains, and for this they seek to impede efforts to form any new government."
He added that "the majority of deputies from different political blocs reject the issue of reassigning Adel Abdul Mahdi, or keep it until the early elections are held, and any step in this regard will be faced with a parliamentary refusal, and we will not allow the passage of this matter under the dome of the Iraqi parliament."
