Representatives of the new generation in the parliament of the Kurdistan region announced, on Saturday, their refusal to receive salaries and retirement.
The deputies said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of: "We are the deputies of the "new generation", and from the moment the term of the region's parliament was extended illegally, we refused to be present in an illegitimate parliament, and we refused to receive salaries because it is not permissible if you will not be present in Parliament; therefore we closed Our bank account, and we will not take a single penny; in fulfillment of the covenant we made to our fans before we entered Parliament that we will not receive the pension either, and we have fulfilled our promise to you, we will not let you down, and we will always remain with our people.
