    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq today:

The Ministry of Electricity revealed the existence of a vision to implement a tripartite connection with the Kingdom of Jordan and then Egypt in the electric energy sector, confirming that the connection with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries has reached advanced stages.[/rtl]

[rtl]The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, said in a press interview, "The electrical connection with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia differs from the connection with the Gulf countries, both of them separately," adding that "Iraq has achieved 85% of the terms of the contract for the electrical connection with the Gulf countries.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Moussa explained, "The electrical connection with Saudi Arabia will be through the Arar station to the Yusufiya station. The connection paths have been determined, and Iraq will be supplied with about 1,000 megawatts in the initial stages."[/rtl]
[rtl]And he indicated, "The connection with the Gulf countries will be through the Wafra station in the State of Kuwait to the Al-Faw station, and will supply the Basra Governorate with about 500 megawatts upon completion of the project."[/rtl]

[rtl]He pointed out: "There is a vision to implement an electric linkage also with the Kingdom of Jordan, and Egypt also organizes us through a tripartite connection," noting that "the ministry hosted the Electricity and Energy Committee in the House of Representatives and reviewed visions and plans in this matter, and the committee expressed its willingness to support the ministry’s directions to strengthen the electricity sector in the country.”[/rtl]
