Al-Rafidain Bank announced, on Thursday, the start of receiving cash guarantees, credits, and guarantees in Iraqi dinars, in line with government directives to deal in Iraqi dinars instead of dollars and to enhance its strength in the local market.

And the bank stated in a statement that “NAS” received a copy of it (July 6, 2023), that it “announces that all cash insurances have been collected in the Iraqi dinar currency exclusively with regard to internal credits, bank guarantees, and letters of guarantee issued in the interest of government and private beneficiaries, even if the insurances are in dollar currency and at the official exchange rate.” ".
The bank indicates that "the payment of the sums of the letters of guarantee upon confiscation shall be exclusively in the Iraqi dinar and at the official exchange rate as well."
