The “Riyada” initiative launched by the Prime Minister, according to the opinions of specialists, constituted a starting point towards nourishing economic stability, contributing to growth and prosperity, and creating job opportunities, especially since this strategy is directed to supporting small and medium enterprises, which can absorb thousands of workers. Specialists in economic affairs had previously welcomed, during their talks with “Al-Sabah,” the directions of the monetary authority in the country, which aim to increase rates of sustainable development, stressing that the launch of the Central Bank of the National Lending Strategy could achieve a package of important economic steps, which stand At the forefront of which is eliminating unemployment and poverty and moving the wheel of private sector work. Al-Sayegh called for the need to overcome these obstacles and find effective solutions for them, especially since the international community is working to find opportunities to work with the Iraqi side, with the need to activate the role of follow-up, as it is the basic link in implementation procedures and a fundamental reason for not dissipating efforts and losing standards and indicators. For his part, Imad Al-Muhammadawi, who is interested in economic affairs, pointed out in an interview with “Al-Sabah” the necessity of taking advantage of the historical opportunity that currently exists in working on the large projects implemented by various government agencies with all seriousness, and getting rid of the burdens of the past by delaying the various projects and not completing them.
Al-Mohammadawi also called for the importance of concerted efforts, putting the interest and building of the nation before everyone’s eyes, and not being drawn into abhorrent personal interests, indicating that these steps would increase rates of sustainable development and advance the country’s economic reality. It should be noted that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced last May the International Development Road Project, whose budget amounts to about 17 billion dollars, to link the large port of Al-Faw with Turkey all the way to Europe, in a step that was widely welcomed economically, especially since the project comes within an ambitious plan.
