The judiciary investigates a former general director in the Ministry of Industry

Baghdad: Al-Sabah:
Yesterday, Monday, an investigative court issued a summons order against a former director general of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.
A statement by the Integrity Commission stated that “the investigating court competent to look into integrity cases in Anbar Governorate issued a summons order against the former general director of the Glass and Refractories Company affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, in the matter of violations committed in an investment contract with foreign companies.”
He added, "The accused committed violations in referring the investment contract for glass and ceramic factories and its annex concluded with a consortium of Russian companies," noting that "the contract, which is worth $7,305,000, includes rehabilitation, operation, and participation in production." He continued, "The judge of the investigative court specialized in examining integrity cases in Anbar issued the recruitment order, based on the provisions of Article (331) of the amended Penal Code No. (111 of 1969)."
