    The Iraqi Ministry of Education clarified on Wednesday that the number of schools in Iraq is about 27,000 school administrations, while the number of available school buildings is only 16,000.

    The ministry spokesman said[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2414402930/%D9%83%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%85 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%AF/ar/]Karim Al-Sayed[/url]“The Ministry is working to solve the problem of the shortage of school buildings in order to eliminate double and triple shifts in schools,” noting that “there are about 27,000 school administrations distributed among 16,000 buildings that suffer from double shifts,” according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.


     
    He stressed that the pace of completion of school building projects has begun to increase, some of which have been completed and put into service, and others are still under construction, stressing that the work of constructing new schools is continuing, in addition to rehabilitating those that need rehabilitation or maintenance.
     
    He stated that most governorates are working to complete educational projects that have been distributed according to the needs of each district or region, which will contribute to solving the problem of double and triple shifts in schools in general.
