    On Monday, the Social Protection Authority of the Ministry of Labor revealed a new tally of funds recovered from those who violated the network’s salaries, while it expected that 4 new meals would be included during the current year.
    The head of the authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Eqtisad News, that “after 900,000 new families were included in the social protection network last year, the data was boycotted with the various ministries, and more than 193,000 bypassers of the network were reached.” Social protection within the year 2023,” indicating that “the first steps within the new strategy that was announced for the year 2024 is to start a campaign to recover funds from those who violated the social protection network for the purpose of including new families within the network, and the volume of what was recovered reached 170 billion dinars.”
    He added, “The Authority now has more than 20,000 new families subject to recovery operations, and we expect that within the next two weeks new results will emerge through data analysis,” stressing that “The Authority is working to audit all the files of families whose number is estimated at (two million) in the social protection network.” ".
    He pointed out that “the violations that occurred on social protection salaries previously were the result of the random inclusion of citizens as well as the adoption of paper forms submitted to the network,” explaining that “all families are now subject to an audit process.”
    He pointed out that "the process of communication and networking with ministries is what uncovers violators," stressing that "it is expected to reach double numbers during the coming months, in addition to that all refunds will give an opportunity to include new families within the social protection network."
