[rtl]The Parliamentary Oil, Energy and Natural Resources Committee intends to approach the government regarding the draft oil and gas law.[/rtl]
[rtl]Committee member Ali Al-Mashkour said: “The committee did not achieve any meeting among its members due to the start of the current legislative term a short time ago,” pointing to “Parliament’s preoccupation with disputes over the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, which is still pending,” according to the official newspaper.[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the committee has many topics that it would like to discuss in its meetings that will begin in the coming weeks, including the outstanding matters between it and the Ministry of Oil, which need decisions to be decided by the former."[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Mashkour pointed out that “the committee will work to follow up on the fifth round licenses for gas fields, in addition to approaching the government regarding the oil and gas law, and the solutions it has reached to the points of contention between the center and the region.”[/rtl]
