    [size=45]On Friday, Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Assadi announced the development of a program to complete the social research process, and while specifying the categories covered by the compulsory and optional security, he confirmed the launch of inspection campaigns to implement the security law, as well as the decision to employ 50% of Iraqi workers in foreign projects and companies.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Asadi said, “The Ministry completed within 14 months everything proven related to its work in the government program,” noting that “the Ministry obtained 100% in the evaluation conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office.”
    He added, “The evaluation included what related to the procedures applied regarding social care, people with disabilities, work, vocational training, soft loans, income-generating projects, foreign labor, employment of Iraqi workers, amending the law and legislation of the Social Security Law, and social security retirement for workers,” pointing out that “we were placed in the second year of life.” The government has a program that we are working on applying and implementing, with regard to completing social research.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The year 2024 will be the year of work and social security, as we will work to deploy inspection teams in all governorates of Iraq in all projects in order to implement the decision to employ 50 percent of Iraqi workers in exchange for foreign workers and to activate the retirement and social security law for workers as well.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The guarantee will be of two types: the first is the organized sector, and this guarantee is obligatory and compulsory, which includes companies, restaurants, hotels, and all small and medium businesses. There is an optional guarantee, which relates to the unorganized sector, such as shops, taxi work, barbering, tailoring, and other businesses.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The Ministry will focus on the optional guarantee in its inspection committees,” pointing out that “inspection campaigns have been launched in Baghdad and the governorates on all small, medium, and large projects.”[/size]
