[rtl]On Tuesday, the National Security Service announced the arrest of government employees and inspectors who took bribes in exchange for completing transactions.[/rtl]
[rtl]A National Security statement received by “Al-Iqtisad News” stated, “Based on confirmed intelligence information, the detachments of the National Security Service in Diyala Governorate, after obtaining judicial approvals, were able to arrest a government employee on charges of bribery after he had received sums of money from citizens in exchange for completing their transactions, so that he could be overthrown for the crime.” He is seen receiving money from one of the auditors.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The detachments of the authorities in the governorates (Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Al-Qadisiyah) were able to arrest two government employees, one of whom conducted illegal transactions in the Tax Directorate in exchange for sums of money, and the other bargained with a citizen for a sum of money in exchange for obtaining a clearance from one of the complainants, in addition to two commentators." They were paid sums of money in exchange for speeding up the interview process in one of the departments.”[/rtl]
[rtl]The statement continued, "The accused were referred with the seized items to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary measures against them in accordance with the law."[/rtl]
