The political advisor to the Prime Minister, Fadi Al-Shammari, confirmed that there is no fear that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani will enter the upcoming elections alone, indicating that the proposed amendment to the election law may target Al-Sudani.
Al-Shammari said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “The Prime Minister has the right to choose whomever he wants to implement his program. The proposed amendment to the election law may target the Sudanese.”
He added, "The Sudanese is a leader within the framework and not a secondary person, and we are not afraid of the Sudanese entering the elections alone."
He continued, "There is exaggeration to spread turmoil in the relationship between the framework and the government, and that the Sudanese adheres to the political incubator of the government," noting that "talking about early elections is a media show, since the government program did not mention holding early parliamentary elections."
