Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah, Kuwait, Sunday, commitment to the State of Kuwait as agreed upon with Iraq regarding the demarcation of the maritime and maintenance of border markers and not be exceeded, according to UN Security Council Resolution [833]. He said Jarallah that "the UN resolution [833] on the demarcation of the land border and part of the maritime boundary to the point number [162], a UN resolution passed under Chapter VII of the Charter requires the commitment of the two countries by the letter and spirit".
And between the Kuwaiti official said that "when it has the maintenance of border markers under this resolution summoned the thing is that there be new maps paint a land and maritime borders in its final form after the maintenance of border signs and no change marks sites."
"We agreed with the Iraqi brothers and the United Nations to embark on drawing new maps with the participation of Iraqi and Kuwaiti cost borne by the countries notified the United Nations on Kuwait's readiness to draw the boundary maps and pending the approval of the Iraqi side on this matter."

Asked about an intention to Kuwait to lodge a protest with the Iraqi government on these statements between Al-Jarallah said Kuwait "will not protest" on the grounds that these statements did not come from the Iraqi government, "which recognize and appreciate their position and we have already agreed and signed with the organization of navigation and the record which has been agreed upon agreement between Kuwait and Iraq.
