    {International: Euphrates News} approved US President Donald Trump on arming Kurdish forces fighting Daesh in Syria, as announced by the US Defense Department {Pentagon}.
    A spokeswoman for the Pentagon that the alliance of Syria 's Democratic Forces, led by units to protect the Kurdish people, "will provide weapons and equipment to help expel Daesh from his stronghold in the tenderness."
    She explained , "fully aware of the security concerns of Turkey , our partner in the coalition spokeswoman, we would like to reassure the people and the Government of Turkey that the United States is committed to preventing any additional security risks and to protect our partner in NATO."
    The supply of Kurdish forces with weapons thorny issue of the US administration, since this certainly would anger Turkey, which is the protection units of the Kurdish people a terrorist group.
    Turkey wants to prevent the Kurds from more control over more territory in Syria.
    The Pentagon said that US Secretary of Defense James Mattis , spoke by telephone with his Turkish counterpart intellectual Ahiq, without disclosing details of the conversation. Any official statement by the Turkish officials have not yet issued too.

    BAGHDAD (Reuters) -

    US President Donald Trump agreed to supply units to protect people's Kurdish fighters in Syria with weapons.

    According to the US channel NBC that officials from the Ministry of Defense confirmed that Trump has approved a plan to arm protection units Kurdish people, important ally for Washington.

    The Ministry of Defense reported that the United States will give priority in reinforcing Arab elements in the coalition that will fight in tenderness.

    The ministry also pointed out that the decision to provide Syria's Kurds with weapons designed to help them achieve victory in tenderness, asserting that Trump is arming Syria's Kurds as necessary to defeat the organization "Daesh" in tenderness.

    She added that Washington will work to reassure Turkey on arming the Kurds in Syria.

    WASHINGTON,— A top Syrian Kurdish official on Wednesday welcomed the U.S. decision to arm Kurdish fighters in Syrian Kurdistan with heavier weapons, saying it would “legitimize” the force as it prepares to march on Raqqa, the de facto capital of the Islamic State group.

    U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday “authorised the Department of Defense to equip Kurdish elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF as necessary to ensure a clear victory over IS in Raqqa,” Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said in a statement.

    But the decision is sure to rattle Turkey, which considers the Syrian Kurdish group, known as the YPG, to be a terror organization.

    The Kurdish People’s Protection Units YPG forms the backbone of the Syrian Democratic Forces, which has driven the IS group from much of northern Syria with the help of U.S. air support. The U.S. is eager to expel IS from Raqqa and sees the Syrian Kurds, who are among the most effective fighters in the country, as the best placed force for the task.

    Ilham Ahmed, a senior member of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party PYD in Washington, said the decision to provide heavier arms carries “political meaning” and “legitimizes the YPG and the Syrian Democratic Forces.”

    She said the decision is likely to be met with “aggression” from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is to visit Washington next week.

    The SDF’s rapid advance against IS last year prompted Turkey to send ground forces across the border for the first time in the more than six-year-old civil war to help allied Syrian opposition forces to battle IS and halt the Kurds’ progress.

    Since then, Turkey is believed to have positioned more than 5,000 troops in northern Syria, and has escalated its airstrikes and cross border artillery attacks against the Kurdish forces.

    A Turkish air raid in late April killed 28 YPG fighters and media officials in Syrian Kurdistan, prompting the U.S. to deploy armored vehicles along the border in a show of support for the group.

    Syrian Kurdistan’s ruling PYD has established three autonomous zones, or Cantons of Jazeera, Kobani and Afrin and a Kurdish government across Syrian Kurdistan in 2013. On March 17, 2016 Syria’s Kurds declared a federal region in Syrian Kurdistan.
