BAGHDAD - Iraq's press office denied to Iraqi Vice President Nuri al-Maliki the news that he was hit by a stroke and the subsequent transfer to the Iranian capital Tehran.
Activists on social networking sites were reported to have been hit by a stroke on Thursday and taken to Iran for treatment.
"There is no truth to the news that has been circulated, and Maliki is doing his official duties normally and today he met with a delegation of people killed in the popular rally and honored them," said Maliki's office director, Hisham al-Rikabi.
