    Information / follow-up ...
Somali police announced a clash between army forces on the one hand and police and intelligence on the other, killing nine people in the capital Mogadishu.
"They seem to have mistakenly thought that Somali National Army forces were tribal militias and the number of dead was nine, including a civilian," police officer Major Abdullah Hussein told Reuters in an interview with the agency.
"The fighting took place because the police received false information that there were armed militias in the area," he said.
"There have been incidents," Somalia has been wracked by civil war since 1991 when tribal warlords ousted dictator Mohamed Siad Barre and then broke out.
The UN-backed government is now waging a war against Islamist militants, but many of its security forces lack good training and poor coordination.
"Last night we were besieged by security forces (police and intelligence) and then shot, defended ourselves and chased so-called security forces today after hours of fighting," army officer Major Nur Osman told Reuters on Saturday. We lost two soldiers and my wife Zmili. "
"The place belongs to the army and houses the families of the officers' families, but the security forces are trying to expel us from the site," he said
