Information / Baghdad ..
The Parliamentary Finance Committee estimated on Tuesday the size of the fiscal deficit in the budget next year 2018 by 21 percent, stressing that it seeks to cancel all deductions in salaries of employees.
Majida al-Tamimi, a member of the committee, said in a statement that "the government estimated the amount of funds allocated to the budget next year at about 108 trillion dinars and a deficit of more than 22 trillion, that is, the deficit rate will be about 21 percent."
"The government will rely on internal and external debt and increase the diversification of sources and improve the performance of the economy to fill the budget deficit," adding that "the draft budget needs additional time to make adjustments."
Tamimi said that "the budget includes the identification of 4,8 pieces of salaries of employees for the purpose of supporting the budget of the crowd and displaced people, but the Finance Committee seeks to cancel it completely and the return of salaries of employees to what it is or reduce them appropriately. Ending / 25
