Syrian government adviser Abdul Qader Azzouz said on Sunday that the government has the right to summon any forces to fight terrorism. While he pointed out that Syria does not mind the presence of Iraqi fighters on its territory, considering the existence of coordination between the two countries, .
"The Syrian state has the right under Article 114 of the Constitution and Article 11 of the Syrian Arab Army to use all measures, including the use of fighters alongside its forces in case Syria feels any threat that may threaten its security and safety," Azzouz said in a statement.
He added that "the Syrian government used the constitutional materials available in the request and call for additional forces to combat terrorism," stressing that "coordination is ongoing and ongoing between Iraq and Syria on the fight against terrorism as a single arena."
