    The Pentagon has developed a multi-million-dollar program to monitor alien objects in the sky.

    According to the Politico newspaper, the annual cost of the Advanced Air Threat Monitoring Program has reached US $ 22 million between 2007 and 2012.

    The Pentagon did not disclose the secret program until last Saturday when officials decided to shift their attention and funding to other priorities, the newspaper said.

    Former Senate Democratic Party leader Harry Reid, known for his obsession with space phenomena, was asked to fund the program to monitor unidentified aircraft.

    Reid began working on the program with the support of late Senators Daniel Inoue (from Hawaii) and Republican Ted Stevens (Alaska).

    The founder of the program billionaire "Bob Begello," that creatures from outside the planet are visiting us periodically.

    US Defense Department spokeswoman Dana White told the paper that the program was still in place, noting that its operations had been completed in 2012, and that there were other more important issues that deserved funding instead.

    One of the fears of US officials was the possibility that foreign phenomena could be advanced weapons or modern technology developed by foreign countries such as Russia or China to threaten the United States.
