Palestinian-Israeli delegation to meet in Beijing
The first meeting between Israeli and Palestinian officials has been held since US President Donald Trump's decision to consider Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and his intention to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.
Following a recent interest by the Chinese state to increase its involvement in the Middle East, an Israeli-Palestinian delegation will arrive in Beijing on Thursday with the initiative and funding of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
She said Chinese Foreign Minister Wong Yi and Vice President Chan Chidong will meet with the delegation, and then hold a press conference, in which they present the position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The Israeli side will lead him during the talks, MP Hilik Bar, while the Palestinian side will be led by Fatah official Nabil Shaath, and the PLO's Central Committee member, former minister Ahmad Majdalani and representatives of the Geneva Initiative.
