[ltr]US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the deal would be an agreement between Palestinians and Israelis.[/ltr]
[ltr]He added during a press conference with Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi after talks at the Foreign Ministry in Amman that the United States is working to facilitate this and to find a solution to the Palestinian issue.[/ltr]
[ltr]Pompeo called on Palestinians and Israelis to engage in the peace process, saying that these negotiations are a priority for the United States of America.[/ltr]
[ltr]He pointed out that Israel in its practices in Gaza defend itself, stressing his country's support for the security of Israel, as he put it.[/ltr]
[ltr]Pompey stressed that US President Donald Trump, shortly after recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, said sovereignty over Jerusalem was up to negotiations between the two sides.[/ltr]
