    [rtl]South Korea has decided to block electronic currency trading by using anonymous bank accounts starting Jan. 30 .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]"Local e-currency traders will not be allowed to make deposits in the default currency portfolios if their bank account name is not matched with its currency trading counterpart," the vice chairman of the Financial Services Commission told a news conference in Seoul on Tuesday.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]An unnamed agency lawmaker said the South Korean government was still debating whether there was a need for an explicit ban or not .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]This month, South Korea's justice minister announced that his country was preparing a bill that would ban all electronic currency transactions .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]While the Minister of Finance said that the officials concerned need to hold consultations on the plan of the Ministry of Justice to prevent trading electronic currencies .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]E-currencies fell sharply on the back of the comments and by 8:40 am GMT, Bitquin fell 10.7 percent to $ 10570.[/rtl]

    So in other words, they clamping  down on unverified accounts. It's not saying ban... unverified accounts are kind of anonymous accounts... some exchanges permit it...
