The political and military adviser, Matthew Wheeler, announced the US investment of $ 300 million for demining in Iraq.
"The US has invested $ 300 million in mine clearance efforts since 2003, including 135 after 2014," Wheeler said in a statement.
"The role of the Iraqi government is to secure the areas and help us identify areas where there are mines," he said. "We have benefited from mine clearance for agricultural land use."
