A source at the Kuwait conference said Monday that the amount donated by international organizations to the donor conference in Kuwait reached more than 300 million dollars.
"The amount of funds donated by international organizations to support Iraq so far amounted to more than 330 million dollars," the source said.
The source added that "there are Kuwaiti, Qatari and Turkish organizations among the donors."
The Kuwait conference of donors for the reconstruction of Iraq began Monday with the participation of hundreds of countries and international and regional organizations, which will continue until Wednesday.
In parallel, a conference of non-governmental organizations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq will be held on Monday, with the participation of the President of the Islamic Charitable Organization Abdullah Al-Ma'touq, the Chairman of the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Iraq, Abdul Karim Al-Faisal and the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Partnership for the Middle East and Central Asia , Rashid Khalikov.
