    The International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq kicked off yesterday in the Kuwaiti capital with the participation of most of the major countries, major international organizations and large international companies, which Baghdad relies on to provide grants and assistance to start the process of reconstruction in Iraq, especially in areas affected by the occupation of an organization calling for more than three Years and suffered tremendous destruction.
    In the meeting of experts, which opened the conference yesterday morning, Minister of Planning Salman Jumaili said that Iraq needs more than 88 billion dollars to rebuild what has been destroyed by conflicts and the latest war against Daash. The Director General of the Ministry, Qusay Abdul-Fattah that the reconstruction of Iraq require the collection of 22 billion dollars And another $ 66 billion over the medium term. Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alak said that about 50 per cent of the displaced had been repatriated to their areas and it was hoped that the rate would rise to 85 per cent this year.
    "The Iraqi government has embarked on some reconstruction steps, but we have not been able to accomplish more than 1 percent of what Iraq needs," said Mustafa al-Hiti, director of the Reconstruction Fund for the Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, stressing the urgent need for aid and investment to repatriate the displaced. And the return of services and infrastructure to these areas, and noted the existence of two and a half million displaced people who have not returned yet and to the damage of 138 thousand homes, half of them completely destroyed. 
    The conference will last for three days with dozens of countries, international organizations and hundreds of companies and businessmen. The first day was devoted to reconstruction experts and NGOs, the second day to the private sector, and the last day to announce the financial contributions of participating countries.
    "The United Nations has actively participated in the conference that its agencies have set up a program of recovery and resilience for two years, but enough resources are needed to accomplish this task," according to UNICEF statistics to the conference. "More than 4 million children Iraq need help, have been hampered by poverty and conflict , continuity of education 3 million of them in all parts of the country , "and noted that more than 700 thousand displaced children lost their education for a whole year", and called on the Organization for the rehabilitation and repair of 576 schools damaged by the fighting. " 
    I saw meetings on Yesterday announced the relief organizations and associations du Yeh to provide more than $ 300 million for relief programs in Iraq , including about $ 200 million from Kuwaiti bodies and associations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq.
    On the eve of the opening of the conference, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah stressed that the conference relies heavily on the international community to send a clear message to Iraq that as it was with him in defeating terrorism will be with him in the construction and reconstruction. He said at a press conference on Sunday evening at the opening of the media center of the conference that " Iraq is a country rich in its civilization, location, history and resources, and we are confident that this gathering will be a platform for the start of Iraq and the consolidation of security and stability and the construction of what was destroyed in the fierce war that led against terrorism, "He added," If history records we find that the region lived on the good of Iraq, this is The opportunity to consolidate the international community in relation to this important stage. "
