    It is hoped that the security leaders in Basra to carry out the operation of intelligence and security described as "big" after the issuance of directives from the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Othman Al-Ghanmi. 
    Al-Ghanami and Deputy Joint Operations Commander Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Rasheed Yarallah visited Basra on Monday and held a meeting with the security authorities. 
    "The directives of the security leaders during the meeting focused on the need to strengthen security and stability inside Basra, while the implementation of this task was entrusted to the leaders operating in the province," Basra operations chief Lieutenant General Jamil al-Shammari told a news conference. 
    He pointed out that "the new security work will be based on the leadership of the ground forces and joint operations." In contrast, the command of ground forces, the absence of a major military operation in Basra, considering that the presence of additional pieces in the province is normal.
    The commander of ground forces, Major General Riad Jalal, during the conference that "a high-level meeting on the security situation was held in Basra, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Osman al-Ghanmi, after inspecting the security and military forces in the province," noting that "the security situation in Basra will be Better in the coming days. " 
    "There is no major military operation in Basra, and there is no need for such an operation," Jalal said. "The presence of additional units in the province is normal, and the forces will target only the outlaws."
