    The Office of Prime Minister Haider Abadi, on Friday, the near lifting of the international air embargo on the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, and the disbursement of salaries of health and education staff in the region.
     
    "The issue of Erbil and Salmaniya airports has been agreed to subject them to the federal authorities," spokesman Saad al-Hadithi said in a press statement. "There are procedural aspects to be completed to implement this agreement and then the ban on international flights will be lifted.
     
    Al-Hadithi added that "the payroll audit teams have completed a very advanced step and will be very soon and during the next two weeks to release the salaries of health and education staff in the region, and this as an initial step."
     
    Al-Hadithi pointed out that "there are audit committees for the salaries of employees of more than one ministry in the region," stressing that "after the audit will be launched salaries."
     
    The Prime Minister Haider Abadi, pledged, in his weekly speech last Tuesday, to send salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region, after the completion of auditing their payrolls in all ministries and departments in succession, while pointing out that it may be before the next Nuruz holidays, which will occur on March 21.
