    [rtl]The Russian ruble hit its lowest level in a month on Saturday as the Russian currency was hurt by rising tensions between Moscow and the West over the poisoning of former Russian double agent Sergei Scrippal, Reuters reported .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The Russian currency fell 0.6 per cent to 57.78 against the dollar, the weakest level since 14 February .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The ruble was not much affected by the presidential election in Russia on Sunday, where President Vladimir Putin is not facing   a real challenge .[/rtl]

    [ Editor’s Note: Finally we have the main chemical weapons org (OPCW) say something about the fake news nerve agent hoax the Brits are trying to pull off.
    The whole thing was total nonsense just on pondering what Russia’s motive have possible been for such a stupid move.
    The answer is that there is any motive, and once again our fake free press will not touch that elephant in the room with a ten foot pole.
    Today the story went even further with the Russians noting that several countries, including the US and Britain could also have been the course or what was used.
    Russia has verified that their program was wrapped up after the breakup of the Soviet Union and no one has put any evidence on the table that it had one after.
    We will see next if the UK accepts the request by the OPCW to participate in the investigation. My bet would be no, as they might quickly deduce and make public that the Brits are simply using the Russians as the straw dog here … Jim W. Dean ]

    The UN chemical weapons watchdog said none of its member states have declared possessing ‘Novichok-class’ nerve agent, which London claims was used in the poisoning of ex-double agent Sergei Skripal.

    “There is no record of the Novichok group of nerve agents having been declared by a state party to the Chemical Weapons Convention,” the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said in a press release on Friday. Nearly all countries in the UN are members to the OPCW, except for Egypt, Israel, North Korea and South Sudan.
    The watchdog said open-source information on the agents in this class is sparse. It added that OPCW experts are searching through scientific and technical sources available to them.
    The obscure name surfaced after the UK bluntly accused Russia of using the mystery agent to poison former double agent Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury. Both are said to remain in a critical condition.
    Previously, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson claimed the reason Russia “chose this nerve agent” was to show potential defectors or those “supporting another way of life” that “Russia will take revenge.”
    Moscow denied the allegations and sent multiple requests to Britain, asking for all available evidence and chemical samples to be shared. However, the requests fell on deaf ears as London sent only “meaningless formal replies,” according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
    Meanwhile, the OPCW has offered its “technical assistance” to UK investigators, adding that it “expects some action will be taken soon.”
