Pilot operation of the National Internet Project

The official spokesman of the ministry, Hazem Mohammed Ali, told "Al-Sabah" that the ministry started operating the national internet project in Baghdad and the governorates in part and experimentally through the international access gates, noting that the technical and engineering staffs continue to connect the areas through the active cabins . He added that the Internet service will see a noticeable improvement during the next few years. This is due to the partial operation of the optical cable service through the service gates, especially after the Ministry has recently introduced 20 (for a period) B (13) for a period which contributes to enhancing the service provided to citizens. According to Ali, the national project for the Internet, which was implemented through the General Company for International Network Services, will support the country's economy through the financial returns of the project, because of its information technology that will turn the balance of the digital revolution in Iraq into a fast service, quality and cost suitable for all segments of society. . He added that it is hoped that the service will be delivered to all subscribers through the optical cable of homes through 2400 cabins distributed among all governorates, serving about 5 million homes. Each cabin will be invested by agents and owners of Internet Towers who will be selected after the availability of technical and technical conditions . He explained that the national project for the Internet is a radical solution to all problems of service, and it will provide a secure network of governmental and non-governmental institutions and will be reflected in the services clearly on the security sector and e-government project will provide users with excellent services and connects Iraq digitally through the world.
