Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri on Wednesday discussed with US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman the formation of the next Iraqi government.
"The Speaker of the House of Representatives received today at his office in Baghdad the US ambassador to Iraq and discussed during the meeting the most prominent political and security developments in Iraq and the region, and the file of the formation of the next government and the efforts of political forces in this framework "He said.
He stressed Jubouri, according to the statement, "The parliament is striving to correct the electoral process through the legal procedures followed to ensure that the voter's voice is not lost."
He pointed out that "the political blocs are working hard to get a clear vision of the form of the next government, which we are keen to represent everyone without exception."
It is noteworthy that the US ambassador to Baghdad began to move and discuss with a large number of political blocs before the parliamentary elections and then to impose the vision of Washington and influence the results of the elections, in a step that shows the extent of US foreign intervention in the internal affairs of the country.
