The United States has sent coffins to the North Korean border to recover the remains of US soldiers killed during the 1950-53 Korean War.
"Temporary coffins" reached the border village of Panmunjom, known as the venue of the inter-Korean truce, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported Saturday.
The remains of US soldiers are due to be sent to North Korea within days, in order to "honorably" move it into 215 coffins.
On June 12, US President Donald Trump agreed with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at a historic summit in Singapore to transfer the remains of US military casualties in the Korean War to the United States.
