Trump: North Korea repatriates the remains of 200 US troops
US President Donald Trump has announced that North Korea has recovered the remains of 200 US soldiers missing since the Korean War. There was no official confirmation from the military authorities.
"We have recovered our great heroes, the rest have been returned today, 200 of them have already been returned," he told a crowd of his supporters in Minnesota on Wednesday. According to Reuters.
US officials have asked not to be named earlier on Tuesday: North Korea will hand over a "large number" of remains to the United Nations Command in South Korea in a few days, then be transferred to the base Hickam air in Hawaii.
