{International: Euphrates News} Iraqis continue to issue a list of foreign buyers of real estate in Turkey, the latest official statistics of the Turkish government.
In the first half of this year, foreign buyers of real estate in Turkey increased by 31.1% compared to the same period of 2017 and reached 11,316 units.
According to the statistics of the Turkish Statistical Agency, the proportion of sales of property to foreigners in June, increased by 7% compared to the same month last year, and reached two thousand and 60 units of real estate, after it was a thousand and 926 in the same month last year.
The ratio of foreigners buying property between January and June increased by 31.1 percent over the same period last year, the data showed.
During the period, foreigners bought 11,816 housing units, up from 9,595 in the same period in 2017.
The data showed that one-third of the properties sold to foreigners belonged to Iraqi, Saudi and Iranian nationals.
Istanbul was first among the Turkish states favored by foreigners in buying properties, with 764 apartments in June alone, followed by Antalya 525, Bursa 117, Yalova 74 and Trabzon 43 housing units.
In the first half of this year, foreigners bought 3,000 and 999 housing units in Istanbul, Alvin, 883 Antalya, 812 Stock Exchange, Yalova 558 and 540 in Trabzon.
According to the nationalities of the most foreign nationals in Turkey, Iraq was ranked first by buying its citizens for 312 housing units in June, constituting 15% of the total foreign property sales, followed by Iranians with 228 housing units, then Russians with 169 units, Afghans at 139 and Saudis at 110.
In the first half of 2018, Iraqi citizens took first place in the purchase of real estate. During this period, they bought 1,987 housing units, while the Saudis came second with 89,000, Iranians 944, Russians 815 and Afghans 719.
Iraqis, Saudis and Iranians accounted for 34 percent of all foreigners who bought real estate in Turkey in the first six months of this year. is over
